The Patch Upon My Wall

In the light of the moon
In the presence of the shadows
In the dark and comforting stillness

I find peace and rest, so much unlikely

Moonlight flows through and into mt only window
and leaves patches of light upon my wall
It sticks out so much more now in the darkness
Why can't I be the moonlight
A shining within the shadows
A mark upon the wall
Or maybe
the world
From here I can see the stars
Just there
Being hopeful for those wishers
so beautifully inspiring
It's dark and warm
A perfect setting
for dreams of the night
for sleep to enfold me tight
Cuddled and cozy
Smug and snug
The perfect setting
with the moonlit patch on the wall and
Sleeping,
into out dreams
