I don't understand this fad of white gold ones right now. I think white gold washes out the diamond(s). This one was my second choice, but still quite lovely. That's a little sapphire you see, which happens to be D's birthstone. Now I have to figure out how to get him something with a garnet :P The ring is nearly a size too big, so I will have to send it to get it resized.... after I show it off to everyone!
D took me out to Pinhey forest, which he fell in love with early on. After dousing ourselves liberally in bug spray (hey, this is Canada!), we went for a romantic little walk. All the little white flowers for May were out, bunchberry, strawberry, lily of the valley. I put a sprig of lily of the valley behind my ear. We sat on a bench with a large amount of poison ivy behind it (again, Canada!), where he asked me to marry him, and I gave him an excited yes! It wasn't much of a surprise, as I had a lot of input on the ring. But still very exciting!
