Bad News
Went to the doctor today for my first ultrasound to see how far along I was and turns out there wasn't a heartbeat. I'm having a miscarriage. It's really disappointing but I'll be o.k. It's probably something genetic that didn't line up. One in four pregnancies end in miscarriage in the first trimester. Too bad, I was looking forward to another little one but that's the way life goes sometimes. Besides, I'd rather have a healthy baby and obviously this one had problems. It's amazing to think about how many things have to be just right in order for life to happen. We'll try for another little one later. Not any time soon.
