Bold the ones you have and use at least once a year, underline the ones you use at least once a month, italicise the ones you have and don't use, strike through the ones you have had but got rid of. And add any items that you have that aren't on the list:
I wonder how many pasta machines, breadmakers, juicers*, blenders, deep fat fryers, egg boilers, melon ballers, sandwich makers, pastry brushes, cheese knives, electric woks, miniature salad spinners**, griddle pans, jam funnels, meat thermometers, filleting knives, egg poachers, cake stands, garlic crushers, martini glasses, tea strainers, bamboo steamers, pizza stones, coffee grinders, milk frothers, piping bags, banana stands, fluted pastry wheels, tagine dishes, conical strainers, rice cookers, steam cookers, pressure cookers, slow cookers, spaetzle makers, cookie presses, gravy strainers, double boilers (bains marie), sukiyaki stoves, ice cream makers, fondue sets, healthy-grills, home smokers, tempura sets, tortilla presses, electric whisks, apple corers***, apple slicers, electric skillets, meat tenderisers, mortar and pestle, pastry blenders, french-fry cutters, waffle makers, candy thermometers, stick blenders, vegetable choppers, silicone cupcake cases and baking mats and food processors languish dustily at the back of the nation's cupboards?
What's the formatting for 'my grandma has one and I covet it?' Jam funnels make everything so much less messy. I do have a jar lifter, which I haven't used yet because there hasn't been anything to preserve since I got it, but I predict it will be useful. I would also love a tortilla press and a pizza stone.
I need to use my icecream maker.
*If you mean one of those things with a fluted round pointy bit that you squeeze lemons on. I don't have a machine that juices carrots or anything.
**Wrapping the lettuce in a teatowel, going out on the deck and spinning it around my head like a lasso is more fun.
***They come into their own when you're making 5kg of apples into a distressingly small amount of sauce.
