So, my grandpa gave me a cabbage, which, while I work up the oomph to eat it (I ate a lot of cabbage this winter), has been sitting on the table on account of it's big and there's not a lot of room in the fridge.
Concurrently, my dad has been germinating some beans in pots, also on the table. They're old seeds, so only a few came up, which he watched carefully - until the tops got eaten off. He blamed the cats, because it wasn't us and the cats are the only other living things in the house that could do it, right? Until I noticed some weird silvery stuff on the tablecloth...
...yeah. There was a SLUG in the cabbage that has been coming out at night and eating the beans. DDD: I was too busy eeking (I can handle snails, but slugs squick me) to get a good look, but that thing was the size of my HAND.
Tablecloth: in the mf laundry. The cabbage: deslugged and in the fridge. Amount of oomph I will have to work up to eat it: GOING UP.
