yes yes, it has happened. I have fallen headfirst into the X-men fandom. The reason I haven't come out of the closet about this earlier is cause I am a wee bit embarrassed. I know i have X-men fans on my f-list, and I feel awful guilty that I am only in the fandom of the new shiney movie with the pretty young actors and am not bothering to even try and get into the source material (theres just too much, and I am lazy). So yes, I'm sorry proper fangirls, but my love for Charles/Erik can be denied no longer.

I have been reading a lot of fanfic and as with most pairings, most of it is bad and some of it is good. And then you come across these fics that just make you go "HOLY SHIT THIS IS AMAZING"!!

Not sure if they are canon-compliant since most of them are set post-movie but the writing and emotion in each is just beautifully done. Also if you are looking for pornz, sorry I dont think there is much in any of them. But while we are on the subject of pornz, OMG WHY DID NOBODY TELL ME THAT MUTANT-SEX WAS SO GOOD?!~?
It is just..... so much better than normal sex. Imagine if you can, sex where one person can literally share every emotion and sensation they are feeling. They can literally share their climax. Or if you want good porny fun, with mutant sex you can have someone who can unzip a fly with his mind, or make it so you can have sex in public with nobody able to see you. And don't get me started on all the fun opportunities there are for projecting naughty images into each others minds at inoppotune moments.
And oh god, beyond the pornz this pairing just has so much going for them. So much angst. Both their respective childhoods were kind of shitty (of course Eriks more so). They are pretty polar opposite in personality and the way they go about things. And and and... on top of all that, they are on opposite sides of a freaking war!!! And yet, even in canon, they have this wonderful bromance and mutual respect for each other, even throughout the war. ITS BEAUTIFUL!!

It helps that even the actors get it. And at least in James' case ship it.
But then again, James totally just ships himself with Fassbender. He is such a cheeky delicious little irl-troll. Summed up entirely by this conversation.
