Scooters and molten metal

So, we took a welding class this weekend (MIG welding if you care). It started at 10am, which doesn't sound early, but it is. Especially when you're taking your slow scooter and sidecar rig along new routes through Seattle (once on 99 and once through downtown).
It was a lot of fun, even though we didn't pre-plan our project enough and I burned my thumb on metal hot from the grinder. Fun Andy fact: my thumb heals from burns super quick. Now I want to find things around the house to weld. Also it's not often that we get to drive around inside a big federal warehouse. Legally.
Afterward we ran a bunch of errands (buying booze) with the sidecar, giving us more chances to try new and exciting routes through Seattle. I also bought new tires for my scooter, so maybe I'll finally shut up about replacing my tires. I'm sure Chris is very happy about that.
