today i am determined to decorate the outside balcony with some string lights and make it a little more cozy now that Jessica and I have the tree blooming outside and it's a little piece of heaven. I had a meeting with my history TA today and it went pretty well. I pretty much have to have all my backwork finished by Thursday, the day of the history final and my last day of school.
So here the things that need to be completed:
1 term paper on whether or not women of the Nazi regime were victims of their own fate regardless of sterlization measures taken by the government of the period. [disgustingly fascinating, i know. its not the kind of paper topic you want to have nightmares about.]
1 history final covering many issues of gender and feminism of Modern Europe [Lousix XIV to today!]
1 final paper on different definitions of cultural identity as defined by Hall and how they related to Toni Morrison's Beloved, possibly.
1 final paper on social theory and some news article I've yet to pick up from the LSJ professor's office yet. I can just swing by the office before I have to go to work. Well not really swing by since it's way more south of my home than work is, but you get what I mean.
several more response papers on readings from the past 2-3 weeks that I should have completed if I had been in class.
I look at this list of work and amazing I'm not tired. I like my area of studies because you usally know what's coming and what's gonna hit you at the final because either you're prepared or you're not. You can be wrong and still be successful because it's all about your method of argument and support and over all persuasiveness. And all my lovely friends know how persuasive I can be and how much I love to argue. *HUG!* It's not like math which is often limiting because there is one right answer, and an endless amount of wrong answers. Just because I'm good at math doesn't mean I necessarily enjoy it or even think it worthy of endless study, atleast not for me.
So now what am I going to do on this lovely sunny friday afternoon? Study? No I dont study while the sun is up. My best moments of clarity and thinking are during the hours of insomnia. Nope, I'm going to go decorate the balcony with some lighting and watch a new movie that I got from Blockbuster in the mail today .
It's Stage Beauty. Seems like an Amy-and-Sullivan kind of movie. So Sul, I'll let you know what I think and if it's worth our time, we shall rent it. Also, dont forget you and I are destined for a trip to the Ritz sometime SOON!
