A few points:
(1) I blacked out for the first time today donating blood in the law school blood drive. I remember thinking it was warm in the room, and then I was out. I woke up and sheepishly explained to the attendant that I had fallen asleep, and apologized. They got me an ice pack and I lay there sweating and feeling woozy for the next twenty minutes or so. The sad news is, I didn't even get the blood drive t-shirt. I'm sadly lacking in college apparel - that would have been a nice addition. The good news is that I was still able to sign up to be a marrow donor.
(2) My memo is completed. That is two classes down (presuming I pass, which I hope will not be a problem). My legal writing class has made me a much less interesting writer, and encourages me to put two spaces following paragraphs (this is not yet reflexive for me. I'm working on it.)
(3) I went to a panel put on by the black and asian student associations here that provided sushi and pad thai for dinner. I would have gone just to learn how to do a mail merge, but that seemed over the top fantastic.
(4) Another wine tasting tonight, this time Malbecs. Have you ever heard of Malbecs? Apparently, the name comes from the surname of a Hungarian peasant who brought it into France. I personally love the image of a magyar who wandered too far, bearing a new grape variety that would make inky, acidic wines in France and something that is a whole lot of tasty in Argentina.
I'm starting to really like the number 4, so I'll leave it at that.
