Apache Point

Hello from Apache Point Observatory in sunny Sunspot, New Mexico! You even take route 6563 to get here (all astronomers now groan or clap depending on how nerdy they are).

I did make it after a crazy flight cancellation, and a stressful night in my very own hotel room with a king size bed in exotic Revere Mass, then I caught a 6 am flight out of Boston (before the snow, phew).

Jeff was waiting for me at the airport and we shared a car(!!!) to Alamogordo, complete with a border check: Are you two US citizens? Yes. Okay move along. After that we arrived at the world's biggest, evil Wal-Mart, which ate all the other stores in rural new Mexico, and I bought $20 worth of food to survive the next few days. After that, it was another hour and a half through some really cute mountains and we were there.

I'm going to save the write of up the issues for my technical report, but I imagine that the p445.3 occultation can be observed.

Now if it weren't predicted cloudy.
