Isn't there a rule for people stuffing others into lockers, beating them up, and such?

Expulsion for repeated offenses?

Haven't read the handbook but I'm sure it's standard for most establishments.

Have you seen that sort of behavior occurring already this year?

More than a handful of cases. It seems like too much so early on, but I admit I wasn't paying that much attention last year.

We do have a strict policy, but with a school this large and understaffed, we teachers have a hard time keeping an eye on everything. Do let me know of any specific incidences.

Certainly, I will.

But...they couldn't hire more people as well? Or is it the staffing pool that's the problem [ belatedly... ] sir?

The problem is the budget--we simply do not have the funds to hire more teachers. The private schools have more money so they do not tend to have this problem, which is not really fair.

Oh. Well, you're quite right.

That isn't fair at all.

Would a list of names help?

It might, though it is hard to do anything about things we did not see. However, I will be sure to keep a very close eye on the troublemakers from now on.

Thank you, Mr. Lung Tien.

Other than a list, is there another way other students can help?

I am not really sure, but if you have any suggestions for improving the atmosphere of the school, I would like to hear them.

A closer eye, I'm sure, would be appreciated.

I suppose student-monitoring is a bit dated, but it would be help that the school wouldn't need to pay for, so it's a thought, if nothing else.
