So here I am
I've had a mild cough for the last week or two. Nothing unbearable. I'm not going to the emergency room unless I'm sure I might die.
I went to the emergency room last night. The night I got here, I started feeling really sick. I'm talking, Really Sick! Chills like nobody's business. Shut off the AC, climbed under three blankets. My body was on the brink of sweating, and I was still shivering. And the cough. Two nights in a row with almost no sleep because of it. I broke.
Fever of 102.1. I like that radio station. They took a throat culture, but the results aren't in. Gave me 5 types of meds. Looks like it's mostly my sinuses, but might be strep. My throat hurts.
So the internet process here blows. I can use it in my room, but I have to pay long distance charges for it. The PX (BX) has it, but it's not fee. $4 an hour. I found a couple of hotels in town, but it's $6 each way for a cab. Yeah, really screwy.
Not looking forward to going back to the peninsula.
