This weekend was probably one of the best weekends I've had, and it all revolved around music. First, I was fortunate enough to be introduced to a couple of really talented artists (thanks to Caitlin), Ryan Horne and Jon Black. They played at the Pour Cafe, and I loved every minute of both of their shows.

That brings me to something I was thinking about while listening to these to guys. I looked around the room and noticed all of the people that weren't there, enjoying this music. The funny thing is, they don't have a clue what they are missing. I may have been thinking that because I really enjoyed the music, and am so glad that I was there to take it in while other people were partying, watching movies, or sleeping (all stuff you can do pretty much whenever). It was an overwhelming, right-place-at-the-right-time feeling.

You should check out their music, both guys are on iTunes.

I woke up and drove to Huntsville to visit Davis. Hanging out with him this weekend turned out to be great timing, because the Big Spring Jam happened to be going on that weekend. I was extremely excited to find out that Nickel Creek, one of my favorite bands ever, was performing! I also got to check out the Gin Blossoms, Cowboy Mouth, Hawke Nelson, and a few others. There were some really great bands there.

So here are some picutres. Enjoy!

The Gin Blossoms

Nickel Creek, in all of their awesomeness.

I wish I could have gotten some more pictures of the guitar player, but he was on the far side of the stage, and didn't move around very much.

Everyone should go check out their music, too. It is some of the most creative and original stuff I have ever heard!

This was a great weekend.
