i did mean it the other way around. sorry i missed that in my proofreading.
and on my political ill i would change, the question is not, "what is the best way in today's society to get rid of a social ill you don't like," it's "what is one social ill you wish you could change and why? how does this affect you in your daily life, or in the lives of those around you?" the question is not realistic. it's meant to show what people feel strongly about. to know they have convictions, and have given idealistic theories lots of thought. at least that's how i think of it. you may have interpreted it differently, and that's ok too. but i think that everyone should question before they accuse. you could have just as easily asked where i was coming from on my idea. if i thought it was really possible or if it was just me making a wish. that's the great thing about these new questions, they're open to interpretations, so you have to be open to how people interpret them.
i fully acknowledge that in current society, a destruction of class and economy is not possible. not with the way people think. i acknowledge that my ideals are naive, but if you don't shoot for the stars, you won't get very far.
i understand what you are saying, and i apologize, whatever i wrote was just an impulsive, first-response .. response. thank you for explaining your thoughts in a kind manner.
and i do agree with that sentence you switched around: i think people should try and stick to spending on their needs rather than wants. this whole thing is reminding me very much of plato's republic...
