(no subject)
Well I finally got to meet my best friends long distance boyfriend the other day. Seeing as how he lives in Wisconsin, I had to grab the opportunity, it's possible that this was my only chance. So friday night after I got out of work, Jon and I drove up to Saginaw. Oh I forgot an important detail. When he got there, he came inside and gave me roses (in front of the parents, so he stays on their good side). As my father would say, "Jon you're alright." This means that he really likes him. Then we got in the car where he had another present waiting for me. I don't know what the occassion was, but he's a smart guy.
anyway, on to friday night. Our first stop in Saginaw was Valley Lutheran, so that I could give my sister a hug and chat with her for five minutes. Then we picked up some Burger King, and dined at Apt 8, while we waited for the arrival of Ade and her mystery man. He was scruffier than I had expected, but that's good because I like scruffy. He also has good taste. I know this because he was wearing a zip-up that jon considered buying at one time. James you have good taste and you're scruffy (good scruffy) that's an A+ in my book.
To kick off our evening, Ade and James took us to Fridays. It was nice to sit and talk. I felt grown-up by sitting at the bar. haha i'm a dork. Afterwards we went to hot shots, and this is where the fun began. We played about 5 games of pool. Ade and James beat us in four games, but we smoked them in the fifth one. I proceeded to get very tipsy and I kept dancing how I believe sims would dance. Ade is a punk, and kept drinking my drinks....hahah.....
Jon was sweet and kept playing all my favorite songs on the juke box. He's romantical like that. (yes, i'm aware that romantical is not a word).
And an evening in saginaw would not be complete without a late night trip to walmart. And a very tipsy meredith attempting to hula hoop. I would've done it too, if ade hadn't ruined the fun and requested that the hula hoop be taken away from me.
When we got back to the apartment, we pretty much went to sleep right away because jon and I had to leave the next morning at like 7:45. we both had to work saturday morning, so it was quite a long day.
Even though it was a very quick trip, I so glad that I went. It's always wonderful spending time with ade. And I'm so glad that I finally got to meet James.
In other news, I got 100% on my secret shop at work!!!!! That's a huge deal. And my boss is really pleased with me lately. The last couple weeks have not been that bad, I'm starting to like my job again.
Now I should sleep, have to work at 9, then dinner at the nursing home from 5-7, followed by going home and doing something that is yet to be determined.....
