It's 11:10pm (that's 2:10am for all you crazy East-coasters) and I'm just stopping for the day. A day which started around 6:30am. And it hasn't been hectic, but it's been continual. the president's visit to LA complicated traffic a bit this afternoon though. at least i got to finish the jan de vries paper though. I like the work though. Classes are fun (yes, I used the word fun) and my program is great! I've met soom pretty neat people and today I got to talk Portuguese with this chick from Rio (Saturday I talked with a guy from São Paulo).
I'm getting into Los Angeles. My neighborhood is great and I can run in Hancock Park (a swank neighborhood that i can pretend like i live it), so I never have to run the same route twice. I go to classes Tues-Thurs so that I can move my car for the street cleaners on Monday mornings and park it on the correct side of the street for Tuesday mornings so I can get to class in time and get no $40 ticket. Fridays, well, I think they'll be study/errand days.
I joing the Los Angeles County Museum of Art. I feel like a grown up! I went to a UCLA football game at the Rose Bowl. I'd definitely go back to the Rose Bowl, but only if it were Clemson or Carolina playing. We rode school buses there, and my group was me, a girl that grew up with Andrew, Veronica, four Mexicans, a Spaniard, a guy from Miami, a Caribbean girl, and three girls we met (two were from Mexico and one's mom was from Chile). it was an experience that i would repeat sans the football game.
ok, i should probably take a shower (i'm stinky)
