Status Update: Greece, Rhodes
Hey all!
I'm in Rhodes, an island of Greece, at the moment and it's gorgeous. Its very warm here which I'm particularly smug about because it's winter and very cold back home.
Rhodes (and Greece in general) is lots of fun but I HATE the transport! Our flight was cancelled, our ferry delayed and things generally complicated and messy -which led to me spending the night at a port in Piraeus! Urg!
We're also off to Crete today ... Well, we leave today but the ferry won't get there until tomorrow morning. Still, not as bad as sleeping on the floor at a port!
I'm also missing my family right now. My nonno (my grandfather) died yesterday morning and while he's been sick for a while and i knew he'd die while I was away overseas, it still cones as a real blow. My mum is a single mum so my grandparents were a big part of my life. But atleast he's not suffering anymore and apparently he passed away very peacefully so I thank god for that.
That's pretty much it for now. Off to Crete and then Santorini and then Ios! Family tragedy aside, I love traveling and it's so pretty here that it's hard to be too bogged down with sadness.
Hope your all doing well -I miss you all. It's fine managing to write the stray entry but I miss the comment threads and the chats about episodes and the reading and reviewing of stories. I'll be home soon enough though -And i can play catchup then!
