Was just reading an article about something really weird that the Japanese have invented: Ink-jet makeup. Talk about something different. Here's the short article:
Make-up printer
Applying make-up can be a chore (so I'm told), and the methods of application have changed little since Cleopatra seduced Anthony with lemon-scented oil. But now the Japanese consumer electronics giant Matsushita (which owns Panasonic) is dragging cosmetics into the 21st century
The company thinks the techniques used for inkjet printing on paper could be used to apply make up to the skin, so it has designed a battery-powered, hand-held device that houses a cartridge of liquid make-up.
The device ionises the liquid allowing an electric field to accelerate it through a nozzle to form a jet. The result is a make-up spray that can be turned on and off at the flick of a switch. But if that doesn't do the trick, the device has a drip mode which can dribble liquid onto the skin instead. Perhaps it could be upgraded to print family snapshots onto your eyelids too…
I can't imagine this not being messy....
This week has been a bit of hell on earth physical wise. I have felt worse than normal (which isn't saying much since I feel like crap all the time), and I am having to really survive the work day. It's becoming increasingly harder. But I am looking forward to this weekend. I am going to a pirate festival in Vallejo. That ought to be fun. I get to dress up and meet a bunch of new people, so I am pretty exited. Can't wait to see what people will be wearing. I am sure there will be a lot of Captain Jacks running around too. That ought to be interesting....
