Why did I never listen to The Weavers before? I was browsing around at the library today and happened across a CD of their greatest hits while searching for a Hank Williams album, and liked the songs I saw on the back of the case. I do like Hank Williams. Haha, I think every kid in every elementary school must know "Follow the Drinking Gourd" because I remember it from music class too.

The first two times I read that very last sentence, I thought it said "I want kids with him" or something akin and I like that better.

wow,i never knew anyone ever recorded that song...

growing up, i always thought go tell aunt rhodie was really funny, because my dads name is rody, and plus it's about dead geese, which kinda sounds like when people pronounce gessner wrong

My dad's sister Louise married a guy called Scott Rhode, so I have an Aunt Rhode.
