Weekend
Not that my life is at all interesting to y'all, but I had a surprisingly nice weekend. On Friday, Saw Carole Montgomery's one-woman show about her life as a Jewish Stand-up Comidian at a Topless Show while living in a mostly Mormon neighborhood. Very, very amusing. She's extremely gifted.
Saturday, my guy *the drummer* came into town with his band, Headtrip Superstar (see below). I got a room for us at the Extended Stay, our own little apartment for a night. I tried to make the place livable, lit incense to get rid of the cigarette smell, candels everywhere, fruit and drinks in the fridge. I went all out. lol. I must have seemed so desperate... but I just wanted to make it all memorable for him. He's been wonderful to me.
Sunday, took *the drummer* back to the band's hotel and went to auditions for the SEAT 2005 season. Then the whole group went to dinner at a Chinese Buffet, a constant source of amusment is to watch some of them eat with chopsticks. Then *Kemosabe* and I went to Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy and had a blast. It's not the book (which is hysterical) but if you enjoy it for what it is, it's SOOOOO much fun. Alan Rickman is the voice of the Manically-Depressed Robot, Marvin. He is probably the best attribute to the film. Think of his character from Galaxy Quest on downers. Hysterical.
