J2 Ever After: OMG Help!
Okay, I'm not sure what I was thinking, or even if I was thinking in the first place, but almost right after the Jays2 story began, I wanted to do a J2 Leafs story. Hockey boys? Hell to the yeah. I shelved the idea not long after because: one, I didn't have time (what with Jays2 and Out of the Shade and into the Sun still pending, along with a half-writen Amnesia!fic that I've been working on, The Play Nice Proviso and now BB 2011) and two, I was kind of going through a major career crisis that resulted in a transatlantic move back home to Canada.
Yeah, it's been an interesting and inspiring year.
So of course then I went and signed on for j2_everafter
And of course I only checked the due date today. Turns out the first draft's due January 10th. Holy crap. The notes are made, the story's in my head, but nothing has been typed up yet and this is my first fic for this challenge and how many ways can you say I'm screwed? Let's start with six ways from Sunday.
And finally - the reason I'm in deep doo-doo? (I said 'doo-doo', heh!) It's because I couldn't resist doing a J2 spin of The Mighty Ducks. It's not gonna be a re-hashing of the movie, but it will fly in a vee with the film, en pointe but expanded.
So guys, help me out. I need a beta or two, I need test readers (and if I'm a very, very good girl, maybe an artist to do a little banner) and I will need them sometime over the holidays. Any volunteers? I know I shouldn't drag y'all into my messes, but hey - that's what are friends for, right?
