Conversation with God
Exerpt from my new book, which Evan Almighty totally ripped off. Yeah... Because I was going to publish it and all... anyway. I'm just being silly. What this really is, is thoughts I had last night.
Meditating ... to clear my mind ... open my mind to new things ...
... So that I might eventually discover some bit of truth and good.
~~It is all* part of truth and good , and your part is to believe This and to do This.
...And my life will serve an important purpose. ...As every life does
~~Some are worth more than others, as with most things - but every piece is necessary to have a whole.
And your part is to be who you are, and it will add to the whole - even if your part is questing for that which is not there, for one rightness and one truth. Even if your part is to seemingly destroy the fabric of existance with violence. Whatever your values, beliefs, or actions, you add to the whole - even though your beliefs may prevent you from seeing the whole, and your human limitations will.
*Everyone and everything around me, all the people and ideas, even those I disagree with.
So was I actually communing with God (the lightbulb)? Or is this what I actually believe? Not necessarily is the answer to both questions. But not necessarily not.
Last couple days have been good. I've gotten more comfortable with the lab and with my grad student. We played Cricklers today while waiting for the DSC (this temp analysis machine) to run. It was good. I'm sleepy suddenly. And it's time for dinner.
