the general idea for how I would spend the hours immediately following my return from Otto's: re-load my step-sister's wedding video onto the computer in order to put on the finishing touches and finally have it done. upon returning, though, I couldn't find my firewire. I looked around Dan's room for one, assuming he had one. I pulled on random cords out from stacks of stuff, but not finding anything that fit my camera. thinking he'd be back pretty quick from B&B, I thought I'd wait and ask him if he could find it (assuming he has one). in the meantime, I started to fill out an online application for a trainee or internship position at Enterprise Rent-A-Car, but stopped short about a quarter of the way through when I found that I didn't have the information required to keep typing. instead of going and finding out the information (in this case: my social security number and my two most recent addresses before moving into this house), I looked up ESPN.com to check the basketball scores and quickly found myself looking at stats (which is a time drain of the highest order, I can spend hours looking at Derek Fisher's career points-per-game average if I'm not careful). then I spent the next twenty minutes looking for a picture of Gene Tierney that I could crop and re-size to make a new LiveJournal icon, which ultimately didn't work out.
if you crop around her face, you miss out on a good deal of her charm, and if you include the rest of her charm, you end up with too small an image to be workable. it's a real rock and a hard place I'm finding myself between. case in point.
