The princess and the pea
Good news bad news. Chunk of meat wasnt getting enough blood and basicaly started to rot inside me, looked and smelled pretty bad. Doc cut it out today and wrapped me up again. It was only the size of a pea or so but it set the wound back at least a week and hurt pretty good. Doc doesnt believe in really good drugs, wanted to "assess nerve damages" the asshole. I also lost some of the skin that had looked promising. We're back to a wet packing which means fewer bandage days but they hurt more. I also need to get a GP stateside which I'd hoped to avoid. On the plus side he didnt make me do the painfull PT. Either he's satisfied with tendons and bones or took pity after the minor surgery. Overall though, it's coming together pretty good. Looks like I might turn out fairly normal looking...well as normal as I did before the accident anyway.
