Hello there! Tonight is the long awaited premier of season four, and with such this community is scheduled to re-open. However, though I still love The 4400 very much I seem to have lost my interest in running this community. I also have a busy summer on the horizon and seeing as how I was far from the timely mod last year I cannot see myself ( Read more... )

Hi, my name is Andi. I was about to koin this community until "THIS COMMUNITY IS CLOSED" "SEEKING REPLACEMENT" "JOINING A CLOSED COMMUNITY WILL ONLY MAKE YOU LOOK LIKE AN IDIOT" caught my attention. Is the community really closed or are you still searching for a replacement? If it is the latter, I would be willing to do it. While I have no experience managing a community, I have experience managing websites so I'm confident I'd be able to do it.
Well, whether you are simply between mods, are closing the community, or whatever else, I just thought I'd throw myself out there.

Hello, yes I would be quite willing to hand the community over to you if you're interested. If you'd like to take it over let me know with one more comment and I'll add your name to the community mod list and remove myself. I'm glad you're offering, I would like to see this community continue even without me.

Okay, yes, I am interested....to be perfectly honest, I'm dancing in my desk chair...people are looking at me funny.
Anyway, I was actually wondering if you would mind staying on as a sort of "mentor" for me - just in case I have any questions or anything. If not, I'll get through, but your help would be much appreciated.

hmmm, I was toying with this idea earlier. Perhaps we could be co-mods and trade off challenges each week. I wouldn't mind either way. But I'll go give you posting access right now.

Ah, you're right, I should have thought that through a bit more before making the offer. I go back to school in less than two weeks, after which I'll be lucky enough if I have time to breathe.

I'm not sure how you plan on running the community but I always closed the community when the 4400 wasn't airing because without the hype of new episodes we were lucky to get even one entry.

In any case, I'm so sorry to withdraw the offer, I really do love this community, but I simply won't have the time I suspect and I wouldn't want to be a burden by forgetting to post. I have added you to the maintainer list.

Well, leave yourself as a maintainer and any time you feel that you'll be able to run a challenge, I'll be more than happy to let you!

I have some layout tweaks, some tagging, and a little networking I'd like to do before the next challenge is started, but I'm hoping to start it September 3rd.

If you're not back in school yet, you can kick it off, maybe?

Sorry, ok well. As I said I've added you to the maintainer list so you're free to begin any changes you'd like. If you want I can announce your replacement, but since its now your community I think you should start the first challenge.
