they say it changes when the sun goes down around here

Finally back from Spain! We arrived at Baden-Airport yesterday, tired as hell.

I took pictures, so I'll post some behind the cut.

The Columbus monument at sunset, photographed from a bridge at the port. I spent much more of my leisure time there and at the promenade instead of in the city center. It was close to our hostel, too.

The FC Barcelona stadium was pretty cool, actually. We got to see the locker room, the chapel, and the room where they hold press conferences, too, which I hadn't expected. The whole building is huge. Next to it, the Olympic stadium we visited a few days later seemed kind of unimpressive.

The Sagrada Familia was a bit disappointing - it looks more impressive from the outside. Still, I'd like to see it again once it's finished. I believe they're planning on having it done by 2026.

We went to see the Font Màgica at about half past eight, so it was still before sundown, and the weather wasn't all that good, but the fountain show was beautiful anyway.

A hospital designed by Antoni Gaudi. We didn't spend a lot of time there, just took a short look around before we went on to see the Parc Güell.

A graffiti I saw on the way to the port. Someone also wrote 'Narf' on a wall we passed, which prompted me to hum 'The Pinky and the Brain' under my breath all day long.

To get to the beach, we had to walk for about half an hour, so we only went there once. I got sunburn right away...

I have to admit I didn't really want to go to Barcelona in the first place because I've been there before, and really wanted to go to London, but it was great anyway, if a bit exhausting.

In conclusion: class trips? Awesome.
