(insert mindless rambling here)

I just found out now the number of homes with flood damage is 30,000+, which means the same number of families affected, at least.... as it goes on, even more staggering.

Well, I know I have 17 days of vacation left yet to use, and we have a shoestring crew at my work, so I am hoping to heck I don't get screwed out of getting at least some of the days I really need. Ah, the problems of too many days vacation and economic times causing downsizing. =P~~~~

Well, yesterday I got out and went to the first Mervyn's store near me at work, a very hoity-toity one, and could not find the Levi's jeans I had been looking for, at all. So, I knew of the next closest Mervyn's, and went there, and after an extensive search, I found the jeans I was looking for, on sale for Father's Day as advertised, and after realizing that these Levi's are a whole lot longer than the regular 501's I wear (the ones I got were the Levi's Signature Action Stretch, very comfy for something that's basically 65/35 cotton/polyester), I found the right sizes after about 3 trips of trying them on, a dark blue and light blue pair. Cool deal, I saved about $27 dollars from the regular prices or from JCPenney's catalog prices.

And if you didn't think I wasn't a shrewd shopper, Costco Wholesale Club opened 2 stores here this past 2 weeks, and so I ran down to the one nearest to me, and promptly bought a sharp mercerized cotton golf polo by Bill Blass for $17.31 with tax. We already had Sam's Club down here since 1988, and I hadn't been to a Costco since about '93 when I was with a then-girlfriend in Santa Rosa, CA, off Highway 101. They're exactly the same, except I like one for some things, and Costco for others.

Ok, I've been working a while... time to go!
