[Alright, he’s been avoiding it on purpose ever since the event has started, even played dumb about it when needed. And he was determined to keep it that way. Well, the second part, at least. People worrying about him was what he wanted to avoid at all costs. He’s seen how down everyone’s been feeling lately because of this event thing and there

[Despite the fact that everyone and their mother didn't approve of leaving the house this week, Suguro couldn't really stand being in that big house alone. Ryoji was...somewhere, so he decided to be somewhere too.
The Animus tried to assault him with their images of carnage and death. The only thing he saw was blue fire reaching as high as the sky. He tried not to look at the faces burning in the flames. So much so that he almost completely missed Ryoji as he was walking by. He took a couple steps closer to make sure it was really Ryoji and that he wasn't seeing things.
He was pretty sure that it was seeing as he wasn't on fire or dying a horrendously terrible death right before his eyes. What he did notice was that his new roommate was just standing there, staring at one of the many gravestones illuminated by the icy fire. He finally closed the distance and, for a second, faltered when he saw the name on the headstone.]
Mochizuki-san what are you doing out here?

[Ryoji wasn't really expecting anyone to see him there in all the thick fog, and the moment he heard his name being called out, he couldn't really hide his bewilderment. Well, he was relieved it was someone he knew.]
I could ask you the same question, Suguro-kun. [For someone surprised he actually sounded pretty composed, his voice calm. Ryoji smiled, while taking a step forward in Bon's direction, turning his attention to him.] Well, I just came out here out of curiosity... I guess. And surprisingly, I didn't find what I expected to find. [The boy took another short glimpse of the tombstone in question, before turning back to Bon again.] No idea if that's a good thing or not.
And please, just call me Ryoji.

What-- [What were these flames? And these voices, and-- Was his hand suddenly on fire? But... Ryoji stared at his hand, not sure what to do, until... he gradually relaxed. It... didn't feel hot.]
Suguro-kun, these flames...? Can you see them, too? [Some kind of illusion? What did it mean?] And these voices...
[OOC: And in turn, Bon could have a short vision of seeing something like this instead of Ryoji when he approaches him: nayrusjunkheap.tumblr.com/post/12283329249/because-i-couldnt-find-any-of-these-on-the (Though Ryoji seems oblivious of this.)]

Ryoji's voice pulled him out of his spiral of thoughts and he slowly let go. Right. He was imagining all of this. But then, how could Ryoji see? He nods.]
They're the flames of Satan. [He turns slightly, not really able to look the other in the eye.] The voices are the screams of my people as he burned them alive. [He glanced back at Ryoji and shook his head. Was he just...? A reaper? What was that?]

Bon's hand brought him back to reality immediately.]
Flames of... Satan? [So he could see them as well.] That's... [Ryoji trailed off, not sure what to say.] So these illusions are your memories? That's... terrible. It must be painful to see this. I'm... sorry. [Because for all Ryoji knew, maybe Bon started witnessing all this because of him, somehow?]
Alright, let's go back. We really shouldn't stay here any longer.

Yeah, kind of. I wasn't born yet so I didn't see it first hand. But the stories, they were more than enough. Now I know what it was really like. [He clenches his fists.] And that bastard will die by my hand. All there is to it.
[He looks back at Ryoji, trying to decide if he should ask him about the whole reaper thing. Maybe when they get back to the house.] Yeah, let's go. [And he starts walking.]

Hmm, I see. So those aren't really your memories, but a vision of something that happened in the past? ...It must the painful all the same. [He pauses for a moment.] Having painful memories is way worse than having no memories at all, I guess. [He mutters to himself, but still loud enough for Bon to be able to hear it.]
So you're aiming for revenge? On this... Satan guy? [He asks softly.]
Reply
I am. He deserves it. [His voice his hard, distant, determined. But then Ryoji's words come back to him.]
You don't have any memories?
Reply
Well, from what I'm aware of, revenge rarely ends well, but it's not really my place to talk. If it helps you deal with all this, then sure - go for it. I'll cheer you on. [He admits, sincerely.] I don't know who you're standing against, but you seem strong, Suguro-kun.
[Ryoji's gentle smile fades at the question, though.]
Ah... It's kind of complicated in my case. [He pauses, wondering how he should put this.] I seem to have no memories of my childhood, and the ones I do have... feel kind of... bizarre. [He trails off, as if getting lost in thought for a longer moment there.]
B-But it's okay! [Ryoji admits all of a sudden, a bit bashfully.] As long as I get to have new, wonderful memories with everyone here in Adstringendum, I'm more than fine and happy with it!
[The last thing he wants is for Bon to worry about him.]

[Suguro keeps walking as Ryoji talks, walking just a little bit behind him so he could grab him or anything if need be. You could never be too careful out here, especially on nights like these where the Animus like playing with your mind.]
That's a good way to look at it.
[He opens the door when they get to the house and ushers Ryoji inside, closing the door firmly behind them.]
Are you ever curious?

[Once they're inside, Ryoji turns to look at the other boy, content with the fact that the graves aren't there to distract them anymore.]
About my past? Of course I am. [There's no hesitation there.] But... I can't quite explain it. It's like... I have a feeling that if I were to get my memories back, I'd... [And that's where the hard part begins.] I don't know, something tells me that I'm better off without that kind of knowledge. I can only assume there's something... horrible hidden inside those lost memories of mine.
[He blinks, as if snapping back to here and now all of a sudden.] Ah, I'm probably not making any sense, am I? [He chuckles, giving a slightly apologetic look.] But the only person that managed to trigger any of my memories so far is back in my world, so... I don't think I'll remember anything new anytime soon.

[That makes two of them. At least now he could hide behind the closed curtains so he didn't have to see the flames anymore.
He listens quietly as Ryoji speaks, not really looking at him but definitely listening. When he finishes he turns and puts his hand on his shoulder.]
It makes sense. As long as you keep being you there shouldn't be a problem. If you do find out what you did in your past and you don't like it, just change for your future, okay? What you did before doesn't mean that's who you are now.

[The ruler of the underworld, huh. Ryoji can't help but wonder what kind of world Bon actually comes from and whether it's that different from his own.]
I didn't have anyone like that back in my world. That, or our ruler was very good at hide-and-seek for the past few millennia. [He adds to lighten up the mood a little.] Could you tell me more about your world? [Simple curiosity.]
