OK, I'm just going to go ahead and put this on the table, in as plain a manner as possible.
I can't stand Michael Moore. He's not an artist, and I don't think that preaching inaccurate bullshit to the beyond-converted is a good way to become a multi-millionaire. I think there are too many people right now that are using the fact that they are a liberal to guarantee that people will love them.
Just because I have not paid good money to make Michael Moore even fatter and richer by seeing Fahrenheit 9/11 does not mean that I have not "formed my own opinion". I have formed my own opinion on what Michael Moore is doing, on his objectives, on his disgraceful public behavior (the Oscars, anyone?), and on accurate information I have heard about what his films contain. People who really believe in "forming their own opinion", however, should ask themselves why they're spending so much money to have Michael Moore tell them what their opinion should be. It's called reading the news.
Most importantly, though...
This does not mean that I love Bush. It doesn't mean that I think the war in Iraq is the best thing that ever happened to America. It doesn't mean that I don't think gay people should be allowed to get married. On the contrary--I know why I have problems with the Bush administration. I don't need to have Moore tell me why he does.
I'm typing this from L'Universitat de Barcelona, so I should probably go. I'll give more details later.
THOUGHT FOR THE DAY:
If it wasn't for God, there would be no atheists.
