Because Hakoda pleases me to no end; I decided it is time for another meme with him. Chat Friends have four prompts, the rest have two.
Rules
1) Lines of a song are okay, but not full lyrics.
2) If you want an AU prompt, please note it, and please don't ask from other folk's AUs.
3) Have fun!
Meme will be closed Tuesday Morning. <3

But the widening of blue eyes like sky stricken his heart, and Hakoda wonders if this was how dying felt like. She ducks her head her head, and her mouth quivers for just a moment.
If she had been anyone else, he would have scoffed at the insecurity; but she was Kya, beautiful and brilliant. He simply had to prove himself.

Kya invites Bato to dinner, and Hakoda wonders if it is a test. He wonders should he sit closer to Kya. He wonders if his eyes always need to be on his wife. How does he prove it he loves her the most?
He settles to sit next to her, hand absently on her knee as she talks pleasantly, so aware of the stillness in the air. Bato talks pleasantly about his recent hunting trips. Hakoda inquires pleasantly about how the other villages are doing and Bato ducks his head and mumbles somethingIt’s a façade, Hakoda thinks. One word or one action can ( ... )

Thank you. :D

- Whore'verse. Hakoda/'Xi'. Hakoda is very used to the idea of bottoms being... submissive.
- Ozai gets all "blah blah gender fluidity blah blah" when Hakoda gets bent out of shape over gender issues. So, for shits and giggles, Hakoda makes an engagement necklace for Ozai to wear. The reactions are not what were hoped for.
- Bato/Ozai/Hakoda. Sun-mania.

He's not there for companionship or a high sex drive. He's ... just become a man two years back, 18 winters old. So he DOES have a high sex drive but all teenagers do and he's not coming back for the sex alone. Besides, he's not lonely. He's got friends, lovers, and too much family. If it weren’t for the too much family, he wouldn't be traveling back and forth from the Northern to Southern Tribe every few months and passing by Ba Sing Se.
He's simply here because fascinated by the Fire Nation man. Fascinated by the androgynous beauty and the clever wit. Fascinated by the behavior ( ... )

Hakoda bats again, and his wrist is caught. He yanks his grip from Ozai and pulls fur blankets tighter around him. “Go bother Bato.”
“I have,” Ozai doesn’t sulk, he never sulks and in the darkness Bato wearily sighs confirmation, “I dealt with Ozai last night.”
The Water Chief is too tired to feel a harsh ping of jealousy. “La and Tui,” It’s still hard to consider the Moon Spirit as Yue, “I’m up.” He announces as he pushes himself off from his elbows, sitting as he takes in sight of the warm and dozy tent.
And then Hakoda is then shoved down onto soft furs as a warm mouth takes his and scorching warm hands skim over bare skin and hard cock grinds against his thigh, “You brought me out here Chief Hakoda,” Ozai hisses between biting-kisses, “Deal with it.”

Bato almost shrunk from his mat when her eyes fell upon him. She roughly sat Hakoda next to his friend before putting her hands on her wide hips. Corazon looked down at Bato with a sour stare, "You need to keep an eye on him. Do we still have some of that whisky from Kyoshi ( ... )

His father recoils from the words like he was slapped; a reaction that Hakoda does not expect. His father's slate eyes grow wide, the hard lines on a wizened face grow even deeper.
But the youth of barely seventeen winters continues on, "I'm sick of the snow. So dammed sick of it. I’m sick of people expecting me to be like Tupit-“
“Hakoda, you’re nothing like-“
“Then why are you giving me the same speeches you gave Tupit? I’m like Mama. I’m not like you! I don’t want to stay here.” He knows he’s raging like a toddler but he simply doesn’t care. “I’m not afraid to leave, and I’ll scalp just like any Fire bastard believes we do just to make-“
And then Sangilak suddenly begins to cough. The cough ravages and brings Hakoda’s father to his knees. Hakoda goes to his father’s side, rage melting, fear brimming at the pit of his stomach as he watches red splotches fall on the igloo’s exposed ice.
It’s the one thing Hakoda is afraid of, Hakoda is afraid that he’ll never leave.

Hakoda, Pakku and/or Arnook - after nearly a century apart, our two tribes are (or are not) still sisters. (Cultural drift ahoy? Or, alternatively, the more things are different, the more things stay the same.)

"You're listening to them?"
Hakoda doesn't look up from the map at first, despite the narrowed gaze fixed so intently upon him.
His finger traces the dark inked lines of the maps provided by the nuns, a half-century-old and already bone fragile. The paper whiffs of the intense perfume that clings about the center of the abbey, driving all but a few dedicated men from congregating from the middle of the neat earth packed dwellings and altar.
Hakoda is one of those men; he recognizes intensity to the smell but quickly adjusts. In fact, he’s smuggled out vials of the stuff after he spoken to the Superior Mother about the oils used in perfume making. After all, their slow beating wait of Bato’s stabilization had to be filled with something. Now if he can do something foul smelling on a substance that floats on the water ( ... )

I'm very intrigued that you included the perfuming nuns! :D Obscure characters need more love. :)
I really do like that they don't just abandon Bato, even with supplies. They wouldn't be Water Tribe if they did. They've got to stick together. :)
Also... that last line... ;) That IS a good question!
