Films that have made a difference in our lives

We all have favorite films; films we love. But what about films that have made a profound impact in our lives?  For me, there have been several: City Lights which introduced me to the beauty and poetry of silent films; 12 Angry Men, which helped me understand the intricacies of our legal and jury system; Schindler's List which made the horrors of Hitler's 'Final Solution' very real; To Kill A Mockingbird which was about doing what was right and having the courage of your convictions, and even as melodramatic as it was So Proudly We Hail showed me that women played a very vital role in wartime, which to this day, has really not been addressed enough.

So how about with y'all? What films have made such a difference in your lives?
