[At first he thinks he’s in a sewer tunnel, which makes no sense because Raph is the sleepwalker, not him. Klunk slinks around his legs, and he picks him up absent-mindedly and sets him on his shoulder, looking around. No side tunnels. Okay. He picks a direction and starts walking

[City-dweller though he is, Acting Captain Montgomery Scott is out in the woods tonight. Why? Because the damned tribble has gotten loose again and Cupcake the cat along with her. So Mike MIGHT hear or see an anxious Scotsman in a bathrobe with a flashlight prowling around through the undergrowth, softly calling out:]

Cupcaaaaake? Cupcake! Don't you think I'll for one minute not beam you right up with that damned beagle! Nellie! Oi!

[Mike immediately scales a tree at the noise, and listens carefully.

Beam up a cupcake? And the guy has a Scottish accent. It makes him think of that old TV show, of course. The guy must be a Trekkie. Mike decides to follow him, shifting silently through the tree limbs.]

CUPCAKE, DAMN YOU! If McCoy returns and you're not about, he'll have my haggis!

[Mike stifles a laugh. This is too much. Haggis. snerk. And there's a McCoy, too?

He starts to wonder what Cupcake is.]

[In mid "CUPCAAAAKE" the engineer suddenly trips over something. Something fuzzy and round and making a strange cooing noise, though the cooing is probably the only detail anyone would notice about it in the darkness.

Hence the tripping..]

[Nellie is... a tribble?

That's the first thing that runs through his mind, and he dismisses it immediately. That's silly. But... it sounds just like one. He's starting to let the gears of his imagination turn. Beaming up + Scottish accent + thing that looks like a tribble = _____

No. No way. This is just some weird guy with a funny-sounding hamster. He tells himself this very firmly.]

[Cut to a sequence of Scotty coddling the wayward tribble. How did it get this far out? Who knows. It is possible that Cupcake carried it and dumped it out here, because that cat has it in for Nellie and no mistake.]

Who's my good girl? Who's good Nellie? YOU. You are lovely good Nellie, hmm?

[Finally there is an answering MEOW to that call of Cupcake; a very spoiled-looking kitty comes pushing through the ferns, innocent-looking? Me? Me take that kitty toy out of the house and lose it on you, Scotty? Never!]

All right, all right Cupcake. That'll do, lassie.

[Mike can't help but feel some sort of fellow feeling for this guy, who is apparently a cat owner too. He's glad he found his lost cat. He's also glad he finally found out what Cupcake is.

He'll follow Scotty a little longer because he is a stalker.]

[With the cat wrapped around his neck like a scarf, and the tribble making alarming vibrating coos in his pocket, the Scotsman sets off toward House 7. He is none the wiser that Michelangelo was there or ever saw a thing.]

[Mike follows him as far as the thinning of the trees and then watches him enter town with an amused smile on his face. He notes where the guy lives so he knows not to steal food from him if it comes to that. (It won't come to that. Michelangelo can hunt just fine.)

Then he turns and disappears back into the forest.]
