Rockhard Mountains - Training {Varying Aphro}

For all the things the hotel could and did meddle with, the effect it had on the concept of time was one of the more frustrating. While it was easy enough for go through each day and register time passing, the amount that did never seemed to mean much. As someone who always tried to fill her days with as many useful and worthwhile things as ( Read more... )

And out of nowhere a short blonde teen with a monkey tail just... lands on a boulder in front of the princess. Actually he'd jumped from an overhanging tree branch but his dynamic entry was still probably a bit startling. He'd been watching her train from his little hiding spot until just a moment ago. Normally he wasted little time in chatting up a cute girl, but she seemed so focused he hated to interrupt... until he saw the bloody knuckles that is.

"Don't ya think it's a good time for a break?" he asked, friendly smile on his lips and tail wagging happily, "I'd hate to see ya bust your knuckles open again! They're way to pretty for that to happen."

Startling indeed, since Amelia barely managed to misdirect her next punch to avoid striking anywhere near the strange boy. Unfortunately this also caused her to yelp in surprise, her fist striking the air before the pull brought her tumbling to the ground.

Thankfully she hadn't hurt herself in the fall, but was still fairly shaken up, staring wide eyed at the stranger.

"How did you...where did you...?" she rambled, unable to really complete her sentences for disbelief of the situation.

Amelia was not the only one hiding out in the mountainous scenery trying to catch a break and get some much needed practice and research done. Eudial had her share of the hotel, even if she did like red. Everyone would start to bug her, ask her questions, and she couldn't work under those conditions! The only problem with nature was the occasional snail, but she had two good boots and she wasn't afraid to use them ( ... )

The thing about the mountain range was that sound could echo up from just about anywhere due the the expansive terrain. Smaller sounds were easier to ignore, and hard to hear anyway over the rocks cracking. What couldn't be ignored was the sound of an explosion, even if it was a fair distance away.

Amelia stumbled in her strike as the noise hit her, glancing up to see the smoke rising up farther away. It was lucky the noise hadn't caused a landslide! Not to mention how anything had blown up on the mountain range in the first place. Quickly deciding to investage, she cast Ray Wing and sped off, only taking a short while to find the site of the explosion. She was curious about the burning debris, but more concerned with the young woman lying on the ground.

"Hey, are you alright?" she asked as she rushed over, quickly using a freezing spell to stop the coat burning up and attempting to help the woman sit up.

[ooc: Oh my, that is awesome.~ She'll try to shake off her trauma for the sake of being polite. XD]

Eudial was dazed and very confused. That wasn't supposed to happen! She had the intermix just right, and the initiator was working like she'd designed it. No one had the chance to tamper with it because she's built the whole thing right there, and now all the parts were scattered about in unrecognizable chunks of metal and wire.

Sitting up, the witch rubbed her head and sighed. All that work for nothing. At least Mimete wasn't there to gloat about it. That bitch. But there was someone there, some she didn't recognize at all. Eudial raised an eyebrow. "I'm fine, but who are you?"

Amelia didn't mind the others puzzled look, she was just glad she didn't worse for wear after all that. She might have had no idea what had occurred, but it looked rather nasty looking and wreckage scattered around them.

"I was just training nearby and I heard the explosion. You sure you're okay, no injuries or anything." she asked, just in case she needed to do any healing. Meanwhile she stood and offered the other female a hand to stand up.

"I'm Amelia by the way. What's your name?" she enquired, smiling pleasantly.

Wandering up a nearby path was a familiar green-clad man with bushy hair. Exploring suited him more than sitting idle, though it did bring a few awkward encounters...

For now, though, this looked to be not so awkward - it was the girl from before, and if his cleric training had gotten anything through his head, she seemed ...tired? Hmm.

He waves a bit, trying to get her attention before he got too close to startle her. "Miss Amelia!"

[Sorry about flaking on the previous CR. Might we say they got along well without getting in each other's robes? Aldray would've been too much of a gentleman to do so so soon anyway, aphro be damned. xD;]

Amelia managed to break another boulder as she heard the shout. Thankfully the wide open space meant sound carried itself quite far. Blinking in surprise, she peered down the path and spotted the familiar figure.

"Oh, Mr Aldray!" she smiled and waved back, ignoring the stinging of her hands, before moving towards the path to meet him. "How are you?"

[ooc: No worries, it's okay. We can assume they bonded over justice, Amelia already considers him awesome for that. ^-^]

The shattering boulder was a bit confounding for the guy - he didn't expect spellcasters to hit hard enough to do that... Guess it goes to show that you can't judge someone by appearances! Also, note to self - don't tick her off.

"I'm doing well, how about yourself?" He glanced around, noting the piles of broken rock. "Looks like you've been keeping busy..."

[Huzzah!]

Needless to say Amelia was no ordinary magic user. She had not only been training like this with her father since she was very young, but also knew how to channel her energy into her fists to add extra damage to her hits. She knew she wasn't as strong as some of her other friends, but she could hold her own if need be. Thankfully she didn't angry often enough to ever hurt people if frustrated.

Following his gaze, she rubbed the back of her head head sheepishly, laughing and blushing a bit in embarrassment. She hadn't realized how much damage she had done. "Ah, yes I guess you could say that. I just wanted to clear my head a bit."

Before Amelia's fist could begin to fly forward...a small, brown puffy-like monster spirit appeared momentarily in front of her! A quick Kuri~!! was heard before it vanished. A few seconds passed before Ruka jogged her way up, a bit of concern in her eyes and worry on her face.

"...It's hard, being stuck in a place like this isn't it?"

Yelping in surprise, Amelia barely managed to vere here fist out of the path of the odd little creature, cracking another boulder and sending her off balance. As she landed on the ground with a thud, she turned to see the monster had vanished, and instead saw a young girl nearby.

Blinking a moment, the princess quickly got to her feet and dusted herself off, before managing to smile at the stranger. She didn't want to pass her gloom on to another person after all. It also made her momentarily forget the odd animal she had just seen.

"Well, maybe so, but I'm a firm believer in Justice prevailing, so I'll make the most of this no matter what!" she cheered, striking a pose.

Ruka smiled herself, applauding at seeing the other girl's pose before bowing.

"Justice prevailing, huh? My brother would enjoy getting to know you! I'm Ruka. It's nice to meet you!"

Amelia grinned in return, moving down the path towards the other girl.

"Nice to meet you too Ruka, I'm Amelia." she replied. Tilting her head in a curious fashion, she paused a moment before speaking again. "Did you just decide to explore up here too?" she asked.
