[Action -- hospital] holmes_fanatic May 29 2011, 01:23:07 UTC
[For people who want Conan after he gets to the hospital -- here! One tiny, bedraggled and unhappy detective! Or, if he's been seen by the doctors and sent to bed, tiny, tucked up in bed and thoughtful detective! Entirely up to you.]

[It might be kind of funny that it takes a raging typhoon to get Naoshi to feel like he finally wants to be up out of bed for the first time since arriving for this particular round of treatment. The longer he only had the raging wind to listen to, the more it began to wear at his nerves, as if the gales themselves were scouring them away layer by layer.

So, into a wheelchair he maneuvers himself, a technique he got pretty practiced at the first time he was admitted. Between injury, weakness, and plain not getting out of bed without help for a whole week, no way could he go for a walk, but he can go for a roll. The storm is starting to crowd the hospital, it seems. Perhaps his fellow refugees will provide a distraction for a time.

He carefully departs his corner of the ward and makes his way down the length of it, peering at beds and their occupants (where present) in search of anyone who looks like they might like company, whether he knows them or not, and stops abruptly when he finds a little someone he does know -- and who he ( ... )

[The sound of his name is enough to pull Conan from his thoughts and he looks with some surprise to Naoshi and his wheelchair. Geez. What'd I miss?]

Haruki-sensei? Are you all right?

You know, I'm glad I don't have a mirror, because I'd hate to see why everybody keeps asking me that. [He smiles with the light jest, though he knows perfectly well what exhaustion and facial scarring and heavy bandaging do to a person's appearance, rolling his way to the boy's bedside.] But I'm improving every day, so whatever I look like, don't you worry! How about you? It's good to see you!

[ And Hadesu's worried face is quick to pop up, not that Conan can see it. ]

Conan? Are you all right? Are you in a safe building right now?

[All right? Ha ... like there's anything all right about anything in this place. Ignoring the still stinging cut, Conan tried to muster a clear reply. Despite the long sleep he felt weary, inside and out.]

I'm all right, I think. This house seems okay for now -- but I'd rather be somewhere else.

I can come get you; it'd be a good deal safer than trying to move around on your own. Even I'm getting blown about, and I weigh a considerable amount more. --Ah, If you wouldn't mind staying at the hospital, that is. I'd certainly appreciate the help, along with the certainty that you're safe. We've already boarded up the windows and such, but the hospital is very sturdy.

[The nightmarish tangle of doubt and suspicion might be gone, but some part of it still remains, and Conan's silent a moment, weighing the risks against the need to be with people. As a detective, he's used to working alone -- but never this alone ...

Pride means that rather than accept Hadesu's offer, he'll warn him instead.]

It's pretty scary outside. Even if you're bigger, things could still get blown on you or fall. I was only outside minutes and--

[He wasn't going to mention the cut.] I don't mind the hospital.
