"Well, if she does, I'll vote for her again," I said. "As for what I've been doing... well... keeping time, mostly. Walking Mrs. O'Leary. Training with Annabeth. Hanging out. Maintaining a tense truce with Luke..."

I sighed. "It's not like me, all this waiting. But since coming here, I've not known what to do with myself."

I took a deep breath. "I miss it. I mean, I don't miss the fear of imminent death, being attacked by monster armies or whathaveyou. But I miss the missions. Striking out with Grover and Annabeth across America, doing what we could to keep Kronos at bay.

"Annabeth has her hut, here," I went on. "She has something to throw herself into while she waits to go back home. I don't. The most exciting thing I can think of doing from day to day is walk Mrs. O'Leary. You know, I've seen that for some people, this place helps them find out things about themselves that they never knew when they were home. Here? I figured out that I really hate waiting."
