She kisses back, hard this time. So hard their teeth knock together and Lee pulls back.

For a split second Kara’s afraid Lee’s going to tell her to slow down. She doesn’t know what she’d say then. Something stupid about just needing a good frak. Something about all the ghosts in her head that she uses to keep thoughts of him at bay.

She’s not ready to admit out loud that she needs his fantasies about living through this hell, about bright, shiny futures.

So she kisses him gently, slowly because this is real. Because Kara Thrace loves Lee Adama.

Lee feels her shift, urgency easing as her tongue slowly explores his lips, not quite teasing, not possessing in a rush of lust. Her fingers do the same, not ripping at buttons, but releasing each one in turn more carefully than he's imagined.

Her mouth follows her hands, licking a trail down his neck, her tongue swirling around his nipples as she pushes his shirt off. She slides her palms up his arms, cups his face.

She's sexier than he can believe when she holds his eyes, unguarded, backing up her promise, making him believe.

Kara Thrace loves Lee Adama.

I love that the whole range of emotions, from tenderness to violence, feels like pilots. They are a miracle of characterization. *huggles them* Thank you!
