The tears quit falling, but they stay on her cheeks drying slowly until Lee begins to kiss them away. Kara sniffles one last time. Her mouth pulling into an unintentional smile as Lee’s lips brush over her skin.

His hands loose their grip on her arms and glide across her back. Lee pulls her close, squeezing like he’s never going to let her go, like he won’t ever let her go.

So Kara relaxes in Lee’s arms. She doesn’t know where she went or where they’re going next. But Lee believes she knows the way to Earth so she’s home.
