Another ELF has passed and I'm already looking forward to next year since it looks like I'm going to miss most if not all of Wild Magic.
Friday was an early morning as Ron and were on I-70 by 7:00am, but that put us into Loth at about 11:00am after a few mishaps. Spent most of the day waiting on others to show up and helping them pack-in, set up tents and such. Then after dark it was off to Troll Bar while waiting on the last of the group to arrive. Troll Bar has been good to me over the past few years. I've meet a lot of people and it always brings a smile to my face when those I've met in the past still remember me. Met an interensting lady there friday night.
Saturday was an easy going day, but was made all the better by Snowtiger arriving. Thunder always has more energy when Snowtiger and his partner in crime are leading the drumming.
Sunday was spent in Shaman Circle most of the day talking to a few peeps I had met last year, and making some new friends as well, but it was Sunday night that gave me the shock of a lifetime. I never really expected to see her again, but I walked into an almost empty Thunder (it was starting to rain) and there she was. Many hours of talking, drinking, and laughing followed and it turned out to be a good night. I was happy to see her and to again have her in my life.
Monday really made it ELF. We packed-out in the rain. Didn't roll out of the tent until about 11:00am when it sounded like the rain had died down a good bit. Got packed-out and made the round of goodbye's. I always hate that part.
I really don't know how I ever made it through almost 30 years of my life without Loth, aka H.O.M.E. and it really feels like it to me now, much more after this weekend. I truly hope to get my membership soon and spend more than ELF and Wild Magic there. I'm always at peace there.
We'll see how long the peacful feeling will last, before the chaos of normal, boring life drags me down. Maybe it won't. :)
