I ate a caramel apple today. My first in four years--not because I've been avoiding them, but because I always seem to miss them when they're "in season." I ate it an hour ago, and I'm still on Cloud 9. I love caramel apples. Even if they do murder my teeth.
Also, I'm in ecstasy over the fact that I finished a song today. I've been in a bit of a rut, but I finally cranked one out. I really like the first two verses--I'm not quite comfortable with the bridge so I'll probably edit it, but all-and-all, I like these lyrics. What do you think?::
"Useless (Three Choices)"
You don't gotta tell me I'm wrong
Dont you think that I know that? I know that
But you keep goin' on -- I don't need this from you
Shut your mouth -- just stop
Like I don't understand where I am, what I did
But what about you? Its all about you
Because it all boils down to the fact
That I can't seem reach you, just to teach you
You've got three choices
Before you're useless to me
You maintain this look, like you're so innocent
I don't buy it, so don't try it
And you bat those blue eyes looking for compromise
I won't give it to you
Because you started this game, and I took all the blame
But it stops here -- I'm not at fault here
And this whole thing falls down to the fact
That you can't make up your mind, just to decide
You've got three choices
Before you're useless to me
You've got me, the one whose been here
By your side until the end
Always taking you back, even when
I know the mess you've been in
You've got you, the good-times guy
You never think to stop and ask why
Living life day-to-day
Never fail anything -- never try
And the third choice -- the one on my mind
That I want to ignore
Here's your bag, where's my key?
Turn around and you'll see, there's the door
You've got three choices
Before you're useless to me
