I was going to post this last night but my Internet connection went down.
CURE for the Swine Flu Virus - Part 1 Wow, this guy's a really slick salesman. He knows how to use the buzzwords and twist scientific concepts to fit his simplistic understanding of physiology. On the surface, it sounds like what he's saying makes sense, but it's based on some major misconceptions about how the body works, especially regarding the metabolic and immune systems. He mentions the baseless idea that acidity in the blood is causing a worldwide disease, and that you need to eat "unadulterated raw foods" for the "alkalinity." This is just ridiculous, unless you have an actual metabolic disorder, the body really doesn't need help to regulate blood pH.
Then the idea of a "cleanse" come up, which is again baseless and sometimes dangerous. Fasting, colon cleansing, etc. all carry risks because you are putting unnecessary stress on yourself. So since there are no benefits to a "cleanse," it's stupid to do it for your health. Where the idea that "the inside of our body is not clean" comes from is beyond me--I guess he's referring to the colon, but colon cleansing is redundant--peristalsis keeps the colon quite clean, which is why you have to fast before a colonoscopy--and the rest of your body is sterile. If it's not sterile, that's called an infection, and good luck treating that with raw green vegetables. The only thing you need to "cleanse" is your skin.
Then he gives this ridiculous explanation of how "foreign" foods--e.g. all cooked foods, especially animal products--cause an immune response somehow. This just reveals a pitifully bad understanding of the immune system. It is extremely complex, and white blood cells have nothing to do with what you eat. Your stomach acidity is enough to destroy most bacteria and pathogens in a food, anyways.
This is an example of how a slick salesman like this "health coach" can make plausible claims without knowing a damn thing about the subject matter. The only advice that is credible is that you should eat your vegetables, but that's not particularly novel. The rest is just nonsense, albeit clever nonsense. What's sad is that people who believe this stuff may not take other health precautions against disease, like proper vaccination.
