Well, today was going great, the weather was good, the sun was shining, the groundhog was happily munching away at the weeds in our lawn. Then, somehow, at dinner, Dad wanted to know what I would do if I somehow got into Yale and BC with a Presidential Scholarship at BC (which pays for full tuition, so all yous peoples know). Before either of us can prepare for it, Mom just bursts out into another of her "We'll never be able to pay for college, we're going to lose our house, Andrew should avoid all colleges that have a name like 'Harvard,' 'Yale,' 'BC,' or 'Vassar' attached to them" moments, a moment that lasted for about 45 minutes. Am paraphrasing, but am also now thoroughly depressed and feel like Mom just took every little thing I ever hoped for going to college and just stomped all over it. Will probably end up going to Molloy or something to make Mom happy (if you've never heard of it, there's a good reason for that).
On the upside, just got into Jazz Choir again, even managed to get the highest score out of all thirty auditions. Whoopie.
