First Timer - First Day of Rants
So I've never really had the urge to "blog". I've met quite a few interesting people through just online gaming that I never saw reason to type my thoughts out for the public to see. Don't really know what to put here.
I guess I'll just rant on here so the world can hear my internal questions of why the world works the way it does. Let's start with this:
Internet "chat" language, l33t sp34k, or whatever the hell you want to call it
It was undoubtedly invented by Americans, like myself. Who else would take the English language and butcher it further into something that allowed us to sink farther into our muddied pool of laziness, other than the Americans? I have no sympathy for kids of this age who shorten words like "you" and "to". Not to mention all the other variations of the words that have popped up due to laziness or ignorance. Why? To save an extra milliseconds so your fingers don't cramp up? I mean, I understand acronyms, but "you", "to", "what"? How are the children of today supposed to learn how to type correctly when they can't even fucking spell "you" when the keyboard is in front of them? You know what? Save me the hassle. Don't type to me in l33t sp34k. I don't want to have to decode your shit just to figure out what thought you were trying to put past me. Acronyms are fine, but don't shorten words to save yourself time.
Anyway, I'm sure there will be more to come. I might be a very angry, negative person, but the optimistic portion of me hopes there's an equally joyful, positive person alive out there.
