The better part of a year after finishing the vid that was supposed to exorcise this emotional investment goddammit...
I still have the odd Upstairs Downstairs feeling.
The extremely odd one, as a matter of fact; the fic (Blanche/Agnes, Hallam/Persie) I was kicking around precisely a year ago, according to the edit date on the file, has gone AU and developed a plot.
And a soundtrack. Two discs of soundtrack.
(I would have to do research to write the AU as an actual proper story. Like, a ton of research. Or I could just throw everything to the wind and do the good bits.)
(Should that be a hard choice?)
(Actually, the sane choice would be Not To Attempt It.)
