Star Trek Phoenix RPG - Episode 104: Border Dispute - part 1

Sheesh.
Following emergency orders from Starfleet Command, the Phoenix rushes to the edge of the Romulan Neutral Zone, where the USS Nightengale lies crippled. A navigational error caused the Nova-class science vessel to stray just over the border. A Romulan Warbird quickly responded and a battle ensued. Both vessels were in the Neutral Zone conducting repairs (the Nightengale faring far worse) when the Phoenix arrived on scene.
The Nightengale had surrendered, and the Romulans declared her crew prisoners of war.
Lt. Commander Gar devised a method of masking transport signatures as errant radiation from de-tuned warp nacells, and hacked several transport inhibitors to mask life signs. The Phoenix, stationed just on the Federation side of the Neutral Zone, beamed over damage control and medical personnel. Meanwhile, Captain Grax taunted the Warbird captain.
While the damage control teams worked at breakneck speed to restore engine power to the Nightengale, the Phoenix's medical staff make a startling discovery. The Nightengale's captain, who at first glance died from wounds received during battle, is found to have been strangled to death.
The Engineering Team gets the Nightengale's impulse engine online in record time, and on Captain Grax's orders, begins moving back to Federation space. Suddenly, the Warbird - not as badly damaged as our Crew was led to believe - opens fire!
