Dammit. About three weeks ago I helped a co-worker move a bunch of boxes downstairs. The next day I couldn't grip anything with my left hand or subject it to very much force without significant pain in the outside muscle just below my elbow. I rested it for a while and then five days ago I started back onto my daily hooping fitness routine, which includes at least five minutes of continuous handhooping (simple forward-and-back circles). Now I'm back to square one.
I finally Googled
tennis elbow and sure enough, the symptoms match. No left handhooping for me. Six weeks seems to be the standard rest period for most injuries, so I'll have to break my habit of using both hands equally for carrying stuff. My laptop bag probably wasn't helping. Grr. I was really looking forward to toning my arms up in a jiffy. I wonder if
isolations are out of the question....
