Felt like crap all weekend, so most of my Lofty Ambitions were not achieved. Not too tore up about it. I know I'll sleep well tonight and that sounds pretty good right now. Did taxes (the most important thing), drank a lot of water (like a boss), and did half an hour on the elliptic trainer this morning.
Gavin dropped off the grandpuppy while he and Mallory rollerbladed on the American Tobacco trail, which passes across the street from our house. It was a gorgeous day and Mook was happy to have an hour to Sniff Absolutely Everything. He hopped the fence to play with his girlfriend Carly, the chocolate lab next door. Then he hopped back over and started tearing around the yard with that magnificent greyhound gait, then he'd go to the sandpile and dig furiously for about 15 strokes, then another yard lap, then more furious digging and so-on. That was new. He was having fun, but Gavin had a filthy dog to bring home. A snapshot of what it will be like when I eventually become a grandparent.
Checked my work email (I can't help it) and saw that my boss will be in DC on Wednesday. Probably for her 5-year anniversary award and finalising things with HR for her transfer to India. This week will be quiet. A good time to sort out my schedule as I was babbling about yesterday. The girls in AP have organized a lunch date at
Mount Fuji in
Brightleaf Square on Tuesday. Not just Japanese, but Chinese and Thai as well. (Mmmm... Thai..)
