Holy Crap - Vacation (!)
I went to look up my leave balance. I’ve got 176 hours. I divided that into five. Then I went and had some coffee. With actual caffeine. Then gave my glasses a good polish and divided it again. Five weeks vacation. Jeebus.
Unfortunately, Gary, with his new job, has only two days’ vacation left this year.
I'm not intending to use it all up this year, but with that much to play with, I’ve decided to experiment with my hours to figure out when I’m most productive. I've been given the go-ahead to knock off three days next week by working 4 hours each in the morning on Mon-Thursday and taking Friday (the 27th) off. Then trying the same thing after billing week (13-17 August) but working in the afternoon. By then I’ll figure out when and how I want to use the rest of the time.
I'm looking at stuff like visiting my family in New York, seeing Isaac and our Renfaire friends and/or maybe hitting an SCA or 5th Circle event. And definitely more painting in the house. And perchance some sewing of garb. I might even (OMG) get some rest....
