[See Miguel]

[See Miguel sitting in the Olivine Pokémon Center clearly addressing the 'Gear. He's holding a Pokéball in one hand and he is looking quite distressed.]

Does anyone have a Pokémon they don't want? Because, uh.. I caught this Pokémon and I.. I don't want it - cause it hates me. So I was wondering...

Does anyone want a bu- I mean, Tauros?

[wow, you people--

He's not sure what a Tauros is but that doesn't matter.]

It is merely a matter of controlling the creatures. [Scoff.] That is not so difficult.

[Gosh Mitsunari stop being a douche.]

I'm can usually handle pretty much any and all animals. [Not boasting. Actually said with a slight hint of disappontment.]

[He sighs and regards the Pokéball in his hand.]

But this one seems to be impossible. Trust me, I tried.

Impossible...

[He muses over that for a moment before abruptly shaking his head.]

What nonsense. If it does not properly obey you, you must teach it why betrayal and insubordination are not options. If it must fear you to do so, very well.

I can't say I'm a very big fan of such training methods.

[There's an appraising look for a moment and then he scoffs.]

So it would seem. It need not be harmful to be affective. Do you truly believe discarding a creature that does not obey is better than making it learn properly?

I don't discard him! I just give him to someone who he'll hopefully like more.

Besides, I didn't want him in the first place. And I don't like bulls.

[Oh now he gets it. Not that he really cares, but he might as well pursue this to the end.]

Then it is not a problem with the creature at all, but rather your distaste for them.

...No matter. There is no point to placing the blame on these creatures if they hate those who do not want them, however.

[Exasperated sigh]

No no no, I don't hate him, and I really don't want to give him away! It's just that I can't handle him. I've tried, and believe me I know how to handle animals, but this one just... he doesn't like me. At all. I suppose I could try to train him anyway, but I thnk both he and I will be happier if I give him to someone else.

[It's pretty clear he doesn't really understand--and it makes him irritable. So he doesn't want to give him away but he doesn't like him but he doesn't want to use any sort of way to make him listen--]

...Then you are, in effect, deciding to discard your problem instead of finding any sort of solution.

[He's not impressed. Though he...doesn't really remember why he bothered in the first place.]

Hmph. It does not matter, though it does not speak well of you that this is your "solution".

Yeah? Then what do you suggest I do?

Have I not made myself clear? Teach it to obey, unless you are utterly incapable of such a thing.

[Eyeroll]

I have tried! It doesn't want to be taught anything by me!

[He's tempted to shove the Tauros onto this person but no. He doesn't want to risk his Pokémon getting hurt]

[That would just be cruel. Not sure to whom yet though.]

At times we must all do things we do not want; why is that a consideration at a time such as this? You are the leader of these creatures. It is unacceptable to avoid your duty in this way.

[Scowl]

But if it's my Pokémon that I caught, shoudn't I have the right to do whatever I want with it?

[Video] mitsundere November 10 2011, 02:39:40 UTC
No. That is a disregard of your duty to that creature.

[Isn't this backwards Mitsunari--]

To make use of them to their full potential you must also train them as if they are your vassals.

Why exactly is it my duty?

Who said I have to train every Pokémon I catch?
