Surprise! Time Lord!
(OOC: Set post-Voyage of the Damned and pre-S4. Because I can, and I needed a thread with Martha. So.)
Martha's flat looks rather different than it used to. Of course, it did get blown up, so that was more or less to be expected, but it's still odd. You'd think, at the rate things tend to get blown up or otherwise destroyed around the Doctor, he'd be used to it by now, but in reality... not so much. Probably because he tends to bounce off to the next adventure long before anything has the chance to be rebuilt.
Of course, Martha's going to find the biggest difference to her flat is the Time Lord currently lounging in a tilted-back chair, his feet up on the table, eating a tin of biscuits he assumes are left over from Christmas (and of course Martha won't mind if he steals her biscuits - why would she?), and the TARDIS sitting in her bedroom, squeezed into the small space between the bed and door (and it had been a trial getting the door open enough for him to squeeze out, but he'd managed).
He'd wandered around her flat earlier, poked around at books and the answering machine and various things, but then he'd gotten bored and settled down to wait. Could he track Martha down at the hospital? Sure. But that would ruin the surprise (and, therefore, the fun of it)!
