I lost my hair again, most sadly. I used to have a full head of long hair...not so much, anymore. Though growing a beard makes me look like Santa Claus, because albino beards don't particularly look anything but old and jolly.

As for the second, I'm not sure it is so much a 'choice' as a religious requirement done to the young...

Some gentleman do chose it later in life if they change their religion but I think we might be better served sticking to the conversation of facial hair.
